RODEO DRIVE ANNOUNCES ESTIMATED OCCUPANCY RATE OF 95%
WITH ADDITION AND EXPANSION OF ELEVEN INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FASHION RETAILERS
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Rodeo Drive, the world-renowned shopping and travel destination, welcomes the opening and expansions of eleven retailers on the famed street. With these new additions, the street is currently leased with an approximate 95% occupancy rate. The new additions currently include Domenico Vacca, Fred Leighton, IWC Schaffhausen, Loro Piana, MaxMara, and Miu Miu. Later this year Leiber, Missoni, Mont Blanc, Paul & Shark, and Tom Ford are all slated to open on Rodeo Drive.
“Rodeo Drive has always been home to the very best in fashion and retail,” says Thomas J. Blumenthal, President of the Rodeo Drive Committee, the street's merchants association and marketing arm. “We are pleased to welcome these highly regarded global brands to the street and look forward to Rodeo Drive's continued growth.”
Rodeo Drive has recently become home to several new luxury boutiques, including Fred Leighton, IWC Schaffhausen, Loro Piana, MaxMara, and Miu Miu. Domenico Vacca, known for its fine Italian men's and women's handmade luxury goods, also relocated and expanded to 474 N. Rodeo Drive. Two jewelers opened West Coast flagship locations on the street, including vintage jewelry expert Fred Leighton, which opened its first California store on the 300 block of Rodeo Drive, and Swiss watch company IWC Schaffhausen, which opened its first Los Angeles boutique at the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Brighton Way. Miu Miu, Prada's cutting-edge sister label, also opened a West Coast flagship location on the 300 block of the street, marking the retailers return to Southern California after a two year absence.
Known for its high-quality cashmere and wool products, Italian clothier Loro Piana also opened a 5,000 square foot West Coast flagship boutique on the 400 block of Rodeo Drive. Additionally, MaxMara recently relocated to 451 N. Rodeo Drive and added nearly 2,000 square feet of retail space to create its new 5,000 square foot West Coast flagship.
In Spring 2009, the famed shopping street is also preparing to welcome Leiber and Paul & Shark. Located at the Two Rodeo shopping complex, the new Leiber boutique will offer clients its unique handcrafted accessories. Also coming in the first half of the year will be Paul & Shark. The 2,000 square foot store is set to open on the 400 block of Rodeo Drive and will showcase the Italian sportswear designer's latest collections.
Fall 2009 will bring three renowned brands to Rodeo Drive: Missoni, Mont Blanc, and Tom Ford. The Missoni store will feature an extensive mix of the Italian designer's famous knitwear and colorful patterns. Also, expanding its presence on the street will be famed fine writing instrument, watch, and leather goods maker, Mont Blanc, which will relocate into a larger West Coast flagship location on the 300 block of Rodeo Drive. Finally, the highly anticipated Tom Ford West Coast flagship will also open on the 300 block with more than 6,000 square feet of retail for the American designer's men's, women's and accessories collections.
